While starting a new chapter in your life can be a very daunting task, remember that every other incoming student is in the same boat. Don't be afraid to start a conversation with someone new, learning about other people helps build the great community feeling that comes with being at Mount A! Also ASK QUESTIONS! We've all been there and people are very eager to help you learn about MtA and Sackville.
it felt like the perfect home away from home. Growing up visiting the Maritimes every summer I knew I wanted to live out east for part of my life. After visiting the campus and learning about their small class sizes, passionate professors and a strong sense of community, I knew this is where I wanted to spend my undergrad. They also have a rocking Pols/IR department!
would have to be my study abroad in Strasbourg, France. A whole semester of travelling Europe and being immersed in another culture was a great experience of self-growth and learning that was much different than a typical classroom! If it's something that interests you, I highly recommend looking into the range of school year and summer programs the International Centre has to offer.
While I was a pretty independent person before coming to MtA, I have definitely become more confident in myself and my abilities in all aspects of my life! I know I can overcome any obstacle in front of me and I'm eager to face them head on. Expanding my world view through new courses and dedicated professors has also helped me grow as a person and opened me to new opportunities and interests I wouldn't have expected.
