Orientation Leader at Mount Allison University Orientation
Class of 2022
Hometown: Nova Scotia, Canada
...I did not know very many people when I first came to Mount A, so I became a lot more outgoing and confident in myself.
...Do not be afraid to put yourself out there! I have learned so much about myself from stepping outside of my comfort zone. Get to know some of the other students in your classes, join different clubs that interest you and reach out to your professors if you ever have any questions. It can be scary to meet new people, try new things and ask for help, but it is definitely worth it.
...There are so many great memories to choose from, but I think I would have to choose the training camp for the women's rugby team in my first year at Mount A. Training camp normally happens during orientation, so I met so many people through the rugby team in my first few days on campus. I met some of my current best friends through that training camp.
...Get coffee at one of the local cafes with my friends! The cafes are excellent spots to meet friends, study and enjoy some delicious treats.
