Orientation Leader at Mount Allison University Orientation
Class of 2022
Hometown: New Brunswick, Canada
I came from a very small community in rural New Brunswick. By transitioning from a small high school to a relatively small university, I quickly became comfortable with the charming town of Sackville and everything it has to offer. In combination with friendly locals, delicious cafes, and the most amazing campus, Mount Allison has won my heart over.
Celebrating homecoming every year will always be my favourite Mountie event. It allows for reunions with MtA Alumni, fun with friends, and memories that will last a lifetime. On top of all that, watching the MtA Football team play is equally as exciting!
Don't be afraid to make friends! The initial days, and even weeks, upon coming to university can be extremely intimidating. It is important to remember that every one is in the same situation, and often are equally as nervous to put themselves out there. I promise it is worth the fear to reach out and introduce yourself to other students. You never know when you could meet your future best friend!
My time at MtA has allowed me to become more outgoing, open-minded, and self-confident. Despite its small size, the MtA community has broadened my education inside and outside of the classroom. This exposure has led me to further understand important world issues and work towards making a difference.
