...is to do as many orientation activities as you can. By getting yourself out there you will meet new people and feel at home. When you get to know some people you will then be able to recognize them in your classes. They may also be your friends for the rest of your life.
...I was very anxious coming to Mount A. At first I didn’t want to go but I knew it was what I wanted in the long run. I went to orientation activities which helped me be more comfortable and socialize. This is when I met my best friends. With them I went to fun events throughout the year. I also joined a few clubs by myself. All of this helped me become more confident and calm in social situations.
...is when our orientation activities included going on buses to different areas near by. We first stopped at a little beach to hangout and swim around. We then went to a sunflower maze. The shop that was there sold yummy ice cream, honey, and baked goods. After shopping we got lost in the sunflowers. It is a beautiful spot to get pictures with friends.
...walking around in town and visiting the many awesome stores. One of my favourite stores is Blooms flower shop that has more than flowers. It has succulents, a sock wall, pins, and seasonal home decor. Another great store is Tidewater book store with hundreds of books and games there is something for everyone. There are also many cafes to eat at including Aida’s which has good food but specializes in dozens of flavours of delicious macarons.
